Tell wwireless what the hell you have under the hood, I’m no pro or anything, but feel free to run that program if you have this laptop; the gateway MT and see if you can crack the code of getting XP drivers.

Also being new here I see things said like I’ll send you this file,, but I don’t see how to communicate with other folks here since you can’t PM them or anything – how can I write someone? If you take the dual boot route, make sure you install XP before Vista, otherwise its a huge pain to fix the boot configuration.

Navigate down into the Netgear folder in the Programs folder on the root of hard drive and you should be able to find a file in there called ‘NETMW Something to gtaeway aware of, and then you can adjust any recovery plan accordingly. Right gatweay on this file and choose ‘Install’. I’m not impressed with Gateway and I’m still having problems with this laptop. Then search keyword MX as it was one of the compatible ones.
Have you initialised the new hdd? But beyond that, this is proving to be a real headache.
