You should now be able to use NetworkManager the little networking icon in your task bar to connect to wireless networks. Setting it to WEP will just work fine. It may still be OK.

Networking will work perfectly fine without network-manager, but it may not be as vv2 so if you’re sincerely interested in making this card work, then by all means uninstall network-manager. There are wpc54v 64bit drivers for your card in Windows so you can’t use Ndiswrapperand the 64bit native Linux driver is not completely functional. Thanks – I really appreciate the help! Wireless still does not work with my WLAN card. I have looked for a work around but can’t find one.

My campus runs WEP to my knowledge and has some enterprise system where you log on to which is protected using certificates asymmetric crypto and which will then change keys in 5 minute intervals. Load the driver into ndiswrapper module. And it’s worked since.
